S.W.A.K sessions are here!

I am so excited to introduce a new type of session offered by Butterfly Kiss Photography beginning this summer called a S.W.A.K session (sealed with a kiss!).  S.W.A.K sessions are fun, fast an affordable.  If you have been thinking about getting professional portraits done of your children, but weren’t sure if you had the time or budget to commit to a full session, this is for you!  You can check out the details here and this page will be updated regularly with new session dates and availability.

The very first S.W.A.K session is coming up in just a few weeks and is already filling up.

And what is a post without a few pictures.  Check out these cuties I recently photographed at the very same location for the upcoming S.W.A.K sessions:)

Reese | Sneak Peak | Seattle Child Photographer

Just a little peak for mom and dad.  I have been photographing this little darling since she was just a baby.  Look at those long, blond locks, she is making me jealous!

Caleb | Seattle Baby Photographer

Those lashes, oh baby those lashes!  I am dying over Caleb’s baby blues and gorgeous long lashes.  It was not all that long ago he was just a sweet sleepy newborn, and now look at him sitting up and laughing!  We had a great time at a beautiful sunny park.  You would never know how busy the park actually was by these portraits, but trust me there was  ALOT of people there.   I am so excited that Caleb is part of my Watch-Me-Grow baby plan so I can document his first year for mom and dad.

griffin | part 2 | tacoma newborn photographer

I promised you more than just a sneak peak of this cutie, so here you go.  I met his mama at Source Yoga, where Avery and I go to toddler yoga classes.  Griffin also has two *adorable* big sisters, I can’t wait to get them in front of my camera next.  You should have seen them at the toddler movement class this week, they had matching pink sparkly leotards on and I couldn’t stop smiling at them.  Anyhow, baby Griffin was a little bit older than most newborns I photograph, but it hardly made a difference.  He was so sweet and let me take a few of his big beautiful eyes, a few yawns, and lots of sleepy dreamy baby.  I could go on and on, but mostly I am glad to have connected with this family and been able to create some special memories for them.  Enjoy!

Eat your veggis | Seattle Tacoma Photographer

Nothing tastes as good as fresh picked veggis…especially when picked just minutes before.  These carrots are so sweet and taste so “carrot-y” for lack of better words.  The sugar snap peas are the crispest I have ever tasted.  Avery and I spent a few minutes in the garden today, pulling weeds and picking a bowl full of goodies for snacking.  My garden has done so much better than imagined.  We have been using onions and potatoes already.  The french green beans are in full bloom, and I can’t wait to cook a fresh batch of those up.  We also made the best raspberry jam I have ever tasted this weekend.  It was so quick and easy.  We used a non-preserved method, so we have to eat it all up in 4 weeks.  That will be no problem, since we have already polished off our first jar.  Here is the recipe if you want to have your own try at it.

Quick Organic Raspberry Jam:

2 cups fresh picked raspberries (blackberries will work too)

2 cups organic sugar (I know, it is a lot!)

2 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice

2 8oz jars with lids

In a large pot mash up the berries with a potato masher.  Add the sugar and lemon juice.  Stir.  Cook over high heat for 5 minutes, then lower to medium for 15 more minutes.  Use a spoon to skim the foam off the top while it cooks.  Pour into jars right away, it will thicken as it stands.  Leave on the counter to cool, then refrigerate.  Use within 4 weeks to be safe, as this is not preserved for long term storage.
