Tacoma Newborn Photographer | Gwendolyn Clara

Beautiful baby Gwendolyn was long awaited for by her parents.  As a Tacoma newborn photographer I just love hearing the stories about becoming parents from each family I work with. In fact, you may have noticed that I often share real birth stories here on my blog.  When a mom to be is searching for a newborn photographer near Puyallup, Bonney Lake, Tacoma, Seattle or Olympia I want them to know that I don’t just snap pictures of your baby.  I help your family to celebrate this new life.  I create an experience for you to remember forever.  I offer guidance to record these moments from when they first arrive, so that when the fog of newborn parenting wears off you have this treasure to keep.

Here is Gwendolyn’s story in her mother’s own words. Tacoma newborn photographer Butterfly Kiss Photography baby Gwendolyn bucket pose pink cashmere blanket

We waited almost a year and a half to find out we’d be parents. Right before we planned to see someone for our fertility, our little bug announced herself. The pregnancy was pretty smooth by all accounts, until around 35/36 weeks. Tacoma newborn photographer Butterfly Kiss Photography baby Gwendolyn tushie up pose vintage lace dried floral halo crownTacoma newborn photographer Butterfly Kiss Photography baby Gwendolyn macro close up shots toes lips detailsRight before I was 36 weeks, I mentioned to my midwife that I was having some new symptoms. A few days later, my midwife called to tell me that I would need to be induced. I had no idea how long induction would take, but I tried to mentally prepare for several days. After 17 hours without any progress, we realized our little bug was not in any hurry to be born.Tacoma newborn photographer Butterfly Kiss Photography baby Gwendolyn vintage lace dried floral halo crownTacoma newborn photographer Butterfly Kiss Photography baby Gwendolyn dad baby pose in dads armsTacoma newborn photographer Butterfly Kiss Photography baby Gwendolyn parent pose dad pose mom pose neutral black shirts mocha savage backdrop paperThanks to the amazing nurses and midwives at St. Joe’s, Gwen’s debut got started on day 2 of my induction. Unfortunately, things stalled out a little shortly after I received my epidural. After a day and a half of little progress, all of the sudden Gwen was ready to be born. Nobody believed me at first since it had taken so long to get to that point, but there was no doubt Gwen was on her way! Two hours of pushing later and she was here. Tacoma newborn photographer Butterfly Kiss Photography baby Gwendolyn parent pose dad pose mom pose neutral black shirts mocha savage backdrop paperTacoma newborn photographer Butterfly Kiss Photography baby Gwendolyn olive and elm upcycled romper grey cream lace vintage neutralWhen Gwen finally came out, everyone was surprised how quickly it happened. My mom had told my husband to look at our daughter, but the next thing he knew she was already laying on my stomach. Those final pushes happened so fast! I could only see the back of her head as she was laying on my tummy, and it wasn’t until I noticed everyone around me was commenting on how cute she was that I realized I hadn’t even seen her face! But I loved her so much already!Tacoma newborn photographer Butterfly Kiss Photography baby Gwendolyn grey rustic tones neutral floral knit handmadeWhen I finally got to see Gwen’s sweet face for the first time, I couldn’t help but cry. Then she blew a little spit bubble and cracked my husband and I up (he had also been crying, which NEVER happens). Now it feels like she’s always been here, and we can’t believe we get to raise this sweet girl.Tacoma newborn photographer Butterfly Kiss Photography baby Gwendolyn dusty mint sage robins egg blue green backdrop with dainty flower headband tucked in pose relaxed natural baby photo
